Coolamon Water Tanks Industry Leaders

Coolamon Concrete Tanks is a second-generation family-owned and operated business, from Father to Son, with the third generation (son-in-law) joining the company in 2015.

George McAnally worked for a tank-building company when the opportunity arose in 1980 for him to buy the business. He did so, and together with his wife, June, they relaunched the company as Coolamon Concrete Tanks. Coolamon is the aboriginal name for a water container or water carrier.

Richard McAnally joined his Father in the business in 1990, working a 5-year "apprenticeship" under his watchful eye. George felt confident in 1995 that he passed on his 20 years of knowledge and experience and could retire with absolute confidence that Richard could carry on the family business with pride and integrity with his wife, Julie.

Since 1980, George and Richard have implemented new and innovative technologies that have evolved their construction techniques to produce the finest quality, long-lasting Rainwater Tanks. Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been invested over the years in Research and Development, refining their procedures and making them the Industry Leaders with World Class Technologies.

Over the years, many competitors have tried and failed to copy them, leaving behind inferior tanks and many disappointed customers. People fail to realise that a warranty is only valid while that business is still trading. Coolamon Concrete Tanks has stood the test of time, and no better guarantee exists.

At age 53, Richard has many years ahead until his retirement. With his son-in-law now working in the business and 2 young grandsons hopefully to follow, Richard is confident that the business will continue in the family for several more generations.
