Coolamon Concrete Tanks is a second generation family owned and operated business, from Father to Son, with the third generation (son-in-law) joining the business in 2015.
George McAnally worked for a Tank building company when the opportunity arose in 1980 for him to buy the business. He did so and together with his wife June they relaunched the company as Coolamon Concrete Tanks. Coolamon, being the aboriginal name for a water container or water carrier.
Richard McAnally joined his Father in the business in 1990, working a 5 year “apprenticeship” under his watchful eye. George felt confident in 1995 that he has passed on his 20 years of knowledge and experience and was able to retire with absolute confidence that Richard was going to be able to carry on the family business with pride and integrity with his wife Julie.
Since 1980, individually George and Richard both implemented new and innovative technologies which have seen their construction techniques evolve to produce the finest quality, long lasting Rainwater Tanks. Hundreds of Thousands of dollars have been invested over the years on Research and Development refining their procedures making them the Industry Leaders with World Class Technologies.
Over the years many competitors have tried and failed to copy them, leaving behind inferior tanks and many disappointed customers. People fail to realise that a warranty is only valid while that business is still trading. Coolamon Concrete Tanks has stood the test of time and there is no better guarantee.
At age 53, Richard has many years ahead until his retirement and with his son-in-law now working in the business and 2 young grandsons hopefully to follow, Richard is confident that the business will continue in the family for several more generations to come.
Thankyou to both you and Richard & Co. for such a professional and painless experience.
Love the new tank!
I just need to say that you are the best business I have ever dealt with for both your caring and your prompt customer service.
Richard not only did you give up your valuable Sunday time to assist us in our need, but you refused to accept payment for the task and parts you supplied. I was happy to pay but now the only way I can show my gratitude for your excellent service is to write this email and offer you my sincere
thank you to you and your family from the bottom of my heart. You are good people.
Thank you very much for the recent installation of our 20,000 litre in ground concrete water tank you built on site. It was a real pleasure to deal with you. Not only did you do what you said you would but you also did it in a friendly, professional, ethical and very efficient way. I was very impressed with your expertise and state of the art equipment which allowed you to construct a high quality tank in a relatively short time without fuss or disruption to the other construction works being carried out on site at the time. So thanks again and good luck in your business, but with over thirty years of plying your trade you probably don’t need luck.
I must say we have been very happy with the whole process from the quoting to the finalization of the tank – we do appreciate the wonderful service so thankyou to Richard.
We recently contacted you and requested the design and engineering details of the
two water tanks Coolamon built on our property in 1989 and 1991. Thank you for providing us with the relevant Engineer’s drawings and specification. lt is pleasing to know that we could still contact the company that built our water tanks over 20 years ago and source the information we needed.
Richard and his crew built a 20,000 gallon Tank for rainwater for my house and a 10,000 gallon bushfire reserve tank as well. Richard has great attention to details and answered all my queries in a professional manner. With these tanks in place I have great water security for my home and as a member of the local Rural Fire Brigade, I understand the necessity of fire protecting my property for my families safety. These tanks will last a lifetime and are a great investments for my property.
